| Boy Scout Troop 114 |
| About us: |
Boy Scout Troop 114 is made up of
boys from the town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts
and surrounding communities. The troop has been
operating successfully for over 85 years! There
are currently 34 active scouts and we continually
looking for new scouts to join our troop. We are
committed to skill development, personal growth,
team building, and leadership skills. Scouts learn
through varied activities. We camp almost every
month. We go to Treasure Valley in Rutland, MA,
the scout summer camp in Quinsigamond District.
We go camping, hiking, cycling and we do community
service projects. |

| Friends of Prospect Park |
| About us: |
The "Friends" are involved
in maintaining walking trails at the former Masonic
Property, located on Prospect Street. The group
is organized by members of the Shrewsbury Garden
Club with help from other community organizations
and interested individuals. The group will be
planning several work parties through out the
year. The Parks and Cemetery Commission has approved
this project.

The Friends of Shrewsbury Crew is
a grass-roots organization of
parents and community members that supports the
crew program at Shrewsbury
High School. It is our goal to help the high school
teams to promote
themselves and to raise awareness of the sport of
rowing throughout the
town. Through our fund raising efforts, we hope
to supplement the budget
for the high school program to keep the teams’
equipment up to date and well
maintained.
We also hope to reach out to alumni rowers of
the program and to give them a
forum to share their enthusiasm and fond memories
of the SHS crew program.
Look for us in your travels to New England rowing
events where we can be
found under the blue “Shrewsbury Crew”
canopy, sponsoring a hospitality tent
for the athletes and their fans at the various
regattas where the teams
compete. We’re always delighted to meet
another friend of the program, so

Scouts who range from Kindergarten thru Seniors
in high school. We are known for our cookies but
do so much more. This past year we have gone on
trips from as close to visiting the Fire Station,
Hebert Candy Mansion, EcoTarium to camping in New
Jersey, staying in a hotel in New York City's Time
Square, and cruising the Bahamas. We have serviced
our community by participating in town-wide cleanup,
collecting books and toys for special needs children
and offering a Friday night baby-sitting service
for 6 weeks. |
