The Town Manager acts as the Town's Chief Administrative and Fiscal
Officer responsible for the overall operation of the community under the
provisions of Chapter 559 of the Acts of 1953,
which is better known as the Selectmen-Town Manager Act. Since 1953 there
have been three Town Managers that have served this community;
- Allen L. Wilcox (1953-1957)
- Richard D. Carney (1957-1997)
- Daniel J. Morgado (1997-Present)
The Town Manager is directly responsibility to the five person Board
of Selectmen who oversee the work of the Manager. Annually the Town
Manager files with the citizens his (or her) Annual Report.
The Office of the Town Manager is open Monday through Friday from 8:00
AM to 4:30 PM. Additional night office hours are established as necessary
to accommodate the work responsibilities of the office, which involves
numerous after office hour meetings. Residents and visitors requiring
the services of the Town Manager may make contact via phone, mail, fax
or email.
Citizens are encouraged to address questions, suggestions or comments

| Bi-weekly the Town Manager in cooperation with
SGTV Channel 30 participates in a one hour taped program entitled
"Ask the Manager". The format of the show is either a
panel of residents with a moderator or periodically a entirely viewer
submitted question show with a moderator. The show is taped live
and is unedited in any way.
Residents are invited to either appear as a guest on the show or
to submit questions directly to the program moderator as the manager
prefers not to know the questions before being asked on camera.
The program is aired Saturdays at 3 and 7:30 PM, Sundays 8 PM and
Mondays 1 and 11 AM.
