Police Department Badge The Shrewsbury Police Department
consists of 39 full-time sworn officers - the Chief, three lieutenants, five sergeants and 30 patrol officers - seven full-time civilian dispatchers, five secretaries, three school traffic supervisors and the animal control officer.

Additionally, we maintain a Special/Auxiliary Police Unit. The Special Officers are assigned to private details as appropriate. The Auxiliary Officers are part of the Town's Civil Defense Department.

We patrol 20.78 square miles of land, 158 miles of road, and provide police services for approximately 32,000 residents. We operate marine and bike patrols seasonally.
